Rittosha Bunko’s Osamu Tezuka related books were released on February 20th! | Press release

Following the theme of the books released under the Rittosha Bunko label last summer — the Compilation of novels Osamu Tezuka, the Compilation of essays on the film Osamu Tezuka, and Boku wa Mangaka—Ritto Music, an Impress Group company specializing in music-related publications, publishes two more volumes dabbling in the vast bibliography of the God of Manga himself: Osamushi ni Tsutaete (Revised Edition) by Rumiko Tezuka and the Compilation of scenarios Osamu Tezuka 1970-1980.

Osamushi ni Tsutaete (Revised Edition) focuses on the author’s relationship with his father, showing a more human side to the famous mangaka. Featuring a discussion with Shizuka Sonoda Mama of Club Sukiyabashi, a popular literary bar, this volume is a perfect introduction to the work of Rumiko Tezuka, also known for spreading “Tezuka-ism”.

The Compilation of scenarios Osamu Tezuka 1970-1980, on the other hand, contains the scenarios with titles including Journey of a Million Years: Bandar Book (1978), Throwing Mars (1977), and Cleopatra (1970). Showcasing unseen character sketches in full color on the frontispiece as well as other unpublished drafts and image boards, this volume is packed with all manner of gems that are sure to make fans of Tezuka’s work scream with excitement!
