Stephanie Coker Aderinokun Adds Children’s Book Author to Resume With “Ariella & The Talking Drum”

Award-winning TV host, actress, producer and entrepreneur, Stephanie Coker Aderinokun will now add the author of children’s books to their long list of accolades with their new picture book, “Ariella and the Talking Drum“.

Stephanie has gone through several personal transitions in recent years, from wife to mother to titular chief as the guardian of her Nigerian culture and traditions. Culture is a great reflection of our society which shapes our identities, explains beliefs and contributes to the vibrant experiences of human life in a world full of differences.

“Ariella and the Talking Drum” expresses Stephanie’s love for Nigerian heritage and the inherent need to ensure the younger generation is trained. The beautifully illustrated book celebrates African culture in its setting and characterization, woven with African sounds.

The book centers on meeting a little girl with a princess, which brings lessons of gratitude, contentment and kindness. Every act of kindness to ourselves has a rewarding effect that improves our life. It also allows us to connect with other people and form meaningful relationships.

Speaking at the launch of her first children’s book, Stephanie Coker Aderinokun said:

This book has been in the works for some time and I’m excited to finally share it with the world. Inspired by my daughter, “Ariella and the Talking Drum” is not just a children’s book, but a tale that celebrates our culture and Nigeria’s rich history. It is also a touching story, and with all African tales there are lessons to be learned.

The book is just one of the many projects underway for Stéphanie.

“Ariella and the Talking Drum” is now available for pre-order on Amazon and with the holiday season just around the corner, it’s the perfect gift for the little ones.
